God Will Give You Living Water: Isaiah 58 and John 7

I Will Give You Water When You Are Dry!

I was staying at an Airbnb in another city recently, and the house ran out of water in the evening. This quickly makes you realize the importance of water to our daily needs. The house was running on tank water, and the tanks were dry! There was no water coming out of the taps—not even enough to clean a few dishes.

When I woke up, I started to read my Bible. The first verse I read was:

Isaiah 58:11 (NLT):
"The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring."

Not five minutes after I read this, one of the people staying in the house came out and said they had contacted the owner of the property. I was informed that we were able to go down to another property a couple of houses away to use their water. God was giving us water when we were dry!

Many people are out of water spiritually speaking, and God has promised to give you living water!

John 7:38-39:
"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive, for the Holy Spirit was not yet given because Jesus was not yet glorified.

These verses reveal Jesus’ promise of the Holy Spirit, symbolized as “rivers of living water” flowing from within believers. This points to the transformative and sustaining power of the Spirit, made available after Jesus’ glorification (His death, resurrection, and ascension).

Driving down the 405 Freeway through Southern California in early November 2024, I looked across at the fields and noticed the ground was very dry. I commented to my friend that it looked like this area had been in a drought.

I arrived at the meeting and proceeded to preach from the following verse:

Isaiah 44:3:
"For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring."

While I was speaking, I noticed the land was very dry and said, “It’s going to rain!” My friend, Evangelist Kris Kildosher, spoke up at that moment and said, “It’s going to rain today!” We walked out of that meeting 40 minutes later, and it was raining heavily. Praise the Lord!

God is going to pour out His Spirit, and we are going to have living water pour out on our seed! If you have never experienced the power of the Holy Spirit, it is time for you to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, where the living water of heaven pours out over your life and flows up from within, just as Jesus promised with the promised Holy Spirit!

Blessings to you,
AR
